3rd National Conference

The dust has barely settled after the 2nd Conference, but the planning of the next in the series is already underway. The 3rd National Conference on Injury Prevention and Control will take place in Brisbane 10-12 May 1999. The conference them, "The Challenge of Integration", refers to the multisectoral and multidisciplinary nature of injury prevention and control. The 3rd Conference will be jointly sponsored by the Centre of National Research on Disability and Rehabilitation Medicine (CONROD); The Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety, Qld; and the Australian Injury Prevention Network (AIPN).

To date, a professional conference organising firm has been engaged and invitations have been sent to potential keynote speakers internationally. A pre-conference workshop has been scheduled for the weekend prior to the conference, ie 8-9 May.
